Carol began playing the trumpet in 4th grade and the French horn off and on soon after. She didn’t become serious about playing the horn until she attended Woodstown High School and was encouraged by the band director, Larry Marraccini. During her sophomore year she began private lessons with Dr. Robert Taylor at Glassboro State College.
During her high school years Carol was a member of the All South Jersey and All State Bands, Wind Ensemble and Orchestra. She pursued her interest in music as a music education major at Glassboro State (now Rowan University), graduating in 1986 with a B.A. in music education.
Carol was raised and continues to reside in the small town of Penton, NJ. She and her husband Donald have a son, Robert, and daughter, Dana. Carol is currently the band director and string teacher at Indian Avenue School in Bridgeton, NJ.
She enjoys playing in other musical organizations, including pit orchestras for high school and community musicals. She, along with her son and daughter, are members of the Salem American Legion Band.
