Regarding brass, she first started playing the Euphonium in high school to avoid members of the clarinet section during marching band season. Later on, at the University of Delaware, the tuba professor attempted to have her change and become a tuba major after doing well in secondary instrumental methods class. It wasn’t until she had to fill in the bass parts in her own band that she started playing the Euphonium on a regular basis and later joined the Salem County Brass Society in 2015.
